Terms & Conditions for Points Redemption

Last updated: 18 September 2026

English简体中文繁體中文

These Terms & Conditions for Points Redemption (the "Terms") govern redemptions made through the EiD Rewards platform. In these Terms, "Party A" means the restaurant (or programme operator) that awards Points, and "Party B" means Electronic Identity Display Limited, which operates EiD Rewards. By submitting a Redemption Application, you agree to these Terms.

Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

1. Definitions

  • "Points" means the redeemable unit(s) accumulated in the system by Party A in accordance with the rules of this Service.
  • "Redemption" means Party A (or its designated user) using Points through Party B's platform to submit an application for or obtain goods/gifts/services.
  • "Goods" means the redemption items provided by Party B (or its suppliers), including physical goods, electronic vouchers, service quotas, or other awards.
  • "Redemption Value" means the number of Points required for each Good, as displayed in Party B's system.
  • "Redemption Application" means the redemption instruction submitted by the user in the system, and whose status is confirmed by the system (e.g., Submitted / Pending / Confirmed / Dispatched / Completed).

2. Eligibility and Redemption Conditions

  • Only users who have completed identity verification and satisfy conditions set by Party A and Party B may redeem Points for Goods.
  • The Points validity period, minimum redemption threshold, daily/monthly redemption limits, and eligibility restrictions for specific Goods (e.g., membership level, consumption thresholds, geographic restrictions) shall be subject to Party B's system and/or an attachment (e.g., the redemption catalog).
  • In any case of abnormal Points (e.g., disputed Points, duplicate calculation, suspected cheating, or violation of the Terms), Party B may suspend the user's redemption rights and conduct an investigation.
  • Party B and the platform suppliers have the final right of interpretation.

3. Points Accumulation and Settlement Basis

  • The Points available for redemption are based on the "Redeemable Points" shown in the system at the time the Redemption Application is submitted.
  • If any Points source requires confirmation by Party A (e.g., reconciliation or adjustments caused by return/cancellation), Party B has the right to adjust the available Points based on the actual verified result.
  • If Points are cancelled/clawed back, any Redemption Application that has already been submitted but not completed shall be handled under Clause 7.
  • Points account expiration: If there are no increases or decreases in Points within 12 months (i.e., no Point additions or deductions), all accumulated Points in the account shall automatically expire.

4. Redemption Procedure

  • The user must select a Good in the redemption catalog and submit a Redemption Application.
  • After the Redemption Application is submitted:
    • If the system indicates insufficient Points, the application will not be accepted or will fail;
    • If it indicates sufficient redeemable Points, Party B will proceed to the review/processing workflow (if applicable).
  • After the Redemption Application is confirmed, the system will deduct the corresponding Points and generate a redemption record. Once the deduction is completed, no Points refund will be provided unless expressly agreed otherwise in these Terms.

5. Item Specifications, Quantity, and Availability

  • Goods shall be subject to the description, images, and specifications in the redemption catalog (if any).
  • Some Goods may be affected by stock, supply, logistics, validity period, or availability of resources from third-party suppliers. Party B may set limited quotas / first-come-first-served / batch supply.
  • If a Good is temporarily out of stock or cancelled due to force majeure or supplier reasons, Party B may provide an equivalent substitute, postpone delivery, or cancel the redemption and handle it under Clause 7 (depending on the situation).

6. Delivery and Usage (Physical / Electronic / Service)

  • Physical goods: delivery address, logistics method, any delivery charges (if any), and delivery time shall be based on the options selected in the Redemption Application and Party B's notifications.
  • Electronic vouchers / coupons / virtual products: the usage period, usage scope, redemption/cancellation (redemption/verification) methods, and applicable restrictions shall be subject to the voucher itself or the third-party terms.
  • Service quotas: booking rules, usage period, participation conditions, and non-transferability restrictions shall be subject to the service provider's requirements and notifications.
  • The user must use the Goods according to the instructions. Party B shall not be responsible for losses of rights arising from user operation errors or failure to use within the required time, except for mistakes attributable to Party B.

7. Cancellation, Refunds, and Points Handling

7.1 User-initiated cancellation (before dispatch / before completion of verification)

  • If the Redemption Application has not been completed (e.g., not dispatched, not verified, electronic voucher not yet issued), the user may, within the time period designated by Party B (if the system supports it), submit a cancellation request.
  • After cancellation is accepted, the system shall return the corresponding Points. However, if irreversible costs have already been incurred (e.g., items already purchased, manufactured, or the third-party redemption/fulfillment process has been initiated), Party B may apply a reasonable deduction based on actual costs or require the user to pay related fees (as set out in Attachment B or notified separately).

7.2 Cancellation by Party B / third-party supplier reasons or force majeure

  • If Party B is unable to provide the goods or services due to reasons attributable to Party B, Party B may choose:
    • (a) to supply/replace the item(s) within a reasonable timeframe; or
    • (b) cancel the redemption and refund the Points.
  • If it is due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, policy changes, supplier suspension), Party B will make reasonable efforts to notify the user and handle the matter in a feasible way; if it is ultimately still unable to fulfill, refunding Points shall be the principle, subject to actual verification.

7.3 Completed redemption (no cancellation / no refunds)

  • If the goods have been dispatched, electronic vouchers have been issued, or redemption/verification has been completed, cancellation or refunds will generally not be accepted and Points will not be returned.
  • However, if it is due to an error attributable to Party B (e.g., wrong item sent, voucher expiry attributable to Party B), Party B shall handle the matter under Clause 8.

8. Wrong Redemptions, Out-of-Stock, and Defect Handling

  • If there is an error in the redemption content (wrong item sent / missing item / barcode invalid, etc.) or if the Goods have obvious defects, Party A and/or the user must notify Party B within the time limit designated by Party B and provide relevant evidence (photos, order number, redemption record, etc.).
  • Party B will, within a reasonable time, verify and then take actions such as resupply, exchange, refund, or Points adjustments (depending on available options).
  • If the defect results from improper use or human damage by the user, Party B shall not be responsible (unless otherwise agreed in writing).

9. Points Recovery, Risk Control, and Anti-Fraud

  • If Party B or Party A reasonably suspects that a user has engaged in improper scoring or arbitrage behavior (including, without limitation, points cheating, cheating, abuse of loopholes, or violation of usage rules), Party B may:
    • (a) suspend the user's Points redemption;
    • (b) cancel or claw back relevant Points; and/or
    • (c) cancel the redemption already made (if not completed) or settle according to the actual circumstances.
  • Any Points clawback by Party B shall not affect other legal rights or remedies.

10. Changes to Redemption Rules

  • Party B may update redemption rules, redemption catalogs, redemption ratios, validity periods, or Goods content from time to time.
  • Unless otherwise stated, updated rules generally apply to Redemption Applications submitted after the update. For Redemption Applications that have been confirmed but not completed, Party B will handle them in a reasonable manner and rely on the system records.
  • If there are changes required by government regulations or regulatory requirements, Party B may adjust the relevant terms immediately upon request.

11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

  • Party B provides the Goods or services only according to the redemption catalog and actual availability.
  • If delays or invalidation are caused by third-party suppliers/providers (e.g., courier, ticketing, electronic voucher issuer), Party B will provide reasonable assistance but shall not be directly responsible for third-party acts (except where Party B is at fault).
  • Party B does not guarantee that the redemption results will always be completed within the committed time, but Party B will use reasonable efforts to keep the redemption workflow running smoothly.

12. Dispute Resolution

  • If any dispute arises, both parties shall first attempt good-faith resolution through negotiation. If it cannot be resolved, disputes shall be handled in accordance with the applicable law and dispute resolution clause of this agreement.
  • Redemption system records (Points changes, application status, deductions/returns) shall serve as the main basis for determination.
  • Party B unconditionally reserves the right of interpretation.

13. Order of Precedence

  • If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and the redemption catalog, attachments, or product/electronic voucher additional terms, unless expressly agreed otherwise, precedence shall be given in this order:
    • (a) the product/electronic voucher additional terms; or
    • (b) the description of the relevant Goods in the redemption catalog;
and the rest shall be governed by these Terms.
